The two charities are building on a successful voyage in 2018 and expanding their partnership.
Jubilee Sailing Trust operate two tall ships specifically designed to be accessible to people of all abilities, and ORCA have partnered with the charity for a number of trips in the past.
The 2018 voyage, despite disruption by weather, included some of the most memorable sightings ever on an ORCA cruise, with sperm whales swimming beneath the ship a particular highlight.
ORCA will have two Wildlife Officers aboard Tenacious in 2019, this time working with passengers on a tour around the Azores before embarking on a mammoth voyage back to the UK. All in all, the back to back itineraries will feature 28 days at sea and will pass over incredibly rich habitats, including the Bay of Biscay.
Speaking about the announcement, Paul Fairhurst, Strategy, Planning & Policy Director at the JST said: "The JST are delighted to be teaming up with ORCA once again, to deliver an inspiring wildlife watching experience for diverse, mixed-ability crews. These voyages will offer a true taste of freedom through inclusive adventures at sea. They will be a superb challenge, and even those who have sailed with us before will enjoy the chance to discover not just the amazing wildlife, but also the ability and potential in themselves and their fellow crew."
Dozens of species could be seen during a trip which promises to be unforgettable. Places are available to purchase immediately, with a ten day Azores voyage and 18 day return crossing to Southampton up for grabs.
ORCA members and supporters should use the code ORCA2019 to make sure we know that you are on board! We hope that as many of our supporters as possible will join us in supporting this incredible project.
