2020 Photography Sea Safari

After another fantastic trip in the Bay of Biscay this year, ORCA are delighted to confirm that our popular photograpy Sea Safari with Jessops Acadaemy will once again be taking place in 2020!

The trip, based on our popular Sea Safari programme, sees passengers learing the secrets to catching stunning wildlife shots in one of the top five places on the planet to see whales, dolphins and poprpoises.

After a classroom based session at Portsmouth International Port, passengers board Brittany Ferries' flagship Pont-Aven for a crossing to Santander. Expert ORCA guides will help guests spot the amazing creatures that inhabit these waters such as fin whales, countless actobatic dolphins and elusive beaked whales, whilst expert Jessops trainers help them capture that once-in-a-lifetime shot. After a brief stop in Spain to grab an ice cream or some tapas, passengers then board the ship for the return journey, ending in Plymouth.

The past two trips have been a huge succes and in 2018 guests were treated to an extra special encounter with an increibly rare species of whale, the True's beaked whale. The group captured hundreds of photos of these elusive species, with some of those collected widely considered to be the best ever taken of this animal in the world.

You can now book for our 2020 trip which is taking place from 30th June - 2nd July 2020, just visit the Jessops Academy website today! Please note, 2020 dates are subject to changes and will be confirmed in the coming months.
