Now in its eleventh year, ORCA Wildlife Offciers are back on board KING Seaways meeting members of the public on the route from Newcastle to Ijmuiden.
ORCA's long running Wildlife Officer programme in the North Sea is underway once again, with two brand new team members starting a six month stint aboard KING Seaways.
Kelly de Vries, 25, and Serena le Double, 23, kicked off their first week and were joined by ORCA Education Coordinator Anna Bunney, who was on board for a return crossing from Newcastle to Imjuiden to get the newest members of the ORCA team settled in.
Though bad weather stopped deck watching during the first couple of days, thankfully things cleared up and there has already been some wonderful wildlife sightings to report as the team get our brand new Wildlife Centre in the Observation Lounge ready to go for the new season.
You can read all about Kelly & Serena's first week at sea by checking out their first blog of the season here.
