Marine Mammal Surveyor Sea Safari

Places still available for our Marine Mammal Surveyor Sea Safari in October!

We wanted to let you all know that we still have some spaces available for our very exciting Marine Mammal Surveyor Sea Safari which is taking place from Tuesday 6th – Thursday 8th October 2020!

This trip is exclusively for our Marine Mammal Surveyor Network and will give our most loyal supporters a chance to catch up with friends old and new, whilst enjoying one of the most vibrant and exciting marine spaces ORCA visits – the Bay of Biscay.

The trip will follow the same itinerary as our popular Sea Safaris with the ship leaving Portsmouth on the Tuesday and returning to Plymouth on Thursday. Up on deck all day, you’ll have the chance to catch up with friends as well as chatting to ORCA staff about our research, the organisation structure and plenty more besides! You’ll also have the chance to ask us questions about being a surveyor, whether that’s getting extra training on Logger or having the chance to dig a little bit deeper in to our policy work.  You’ll also have a few hours to explore the beautiful city of Santander on the Wednesday evening.

We want as many people as possible to join us and have been able to secure a very low price for berths:

One person sharing a 2 berth cabin - £145 per person

  • Once you have booked, you will be allocated a space in a same sex cabin AT RANDOM. We are unable to accommodate requests for individually booked spaces to share with specific people.
  • If you would like to share with specific people, you must book ALL places at the same time on one single booking.
  • All guests booking on the trip must be an active ORCA Marine Mammal Surveyor who is a current ORCA member.
  • All passengers must have a valid passport and be able to travel to Spain on the dates of the trip.
  • Places are limited and subject to availability. Due to deposits and cabin costs, bookings are non-refundable within 60 days of the departure date of the trip.
  • Guests are responsible for their own travel insurance and travel to Portsmouth and from Plymouth. Unfortunately due to limited space, no free parking will be available for guests.

To book, you can visit the dedicated page on the ORCA shop here – you will need to be logged into the Surveyor Network to access this item on the shop.

We hope you will be able to join us in October, and look forward to seeing you all soon! If you have any queries, do let us know.

Best wishes

The ORCA Team
