The 2019 Isles of Scilly survey applications are now open!
I am pleased to announce that the 2019 Isles of Scilly survey applications are now open.
This year we have 16 surveys on this route, departing from Penzance and crossing to St Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly. These surveys run on Saturday, Sunday or Wednesday throughout March – October. This is a day sailing survey and is ideal for those requiring at sea experience, this route also provides the opportunity to experience different cetacean species! To apply for these surveys please visit the Applying for Surveys page on the Surveyor Network. Applications will close at midnight in Friday 8th March and we will keep you all informed of the progress of the survey teams via the Surveyor Network news page.
Please note you will not be considered for any of these surveys if you have not completed and sent in your 2019 Marine Mammal Surveyor form which can be found on the Applying for Surveys page of the Surveyor Network. If you have not yet purchased your ORCA Marine Mammal Surveyor polo shirt you can do this via our online shop. You will not be permitted access to the bridge without wearing your ORCA polo shirt. Please note that you need to be logged into the Surveyor Network for the polo shirt to be visible on the shop as these are exclusively for our Marine Mammal Surveyors.
A quick reminder that all other ferry survey applications close at midnight on Friday 1st March and surveyors will be kept informed of the progress of teams through the Surveyor Network.
We look forward to your applications,
Head of Science and Conservation
